The tall, slender fan palm that lines coastal boulevards, growing fast and reaching considerable height on a narrow trunk. Useful where you want vertical scale quickly and have little ground area to give it.

Flower colour: Cream
How to care: Full sun and almost any free-draining soil. Fast growing, drought tolerant once established, and highly tolerant of salt and wind. Water regularly while young to speed establishment. Old fronds hang in a shag around the trunk and can be left as a skirt or removed for a clean look. Take care with the spined leaf stems when trimming.
