Crimson Bottlebrush
Callistemon citrinus
كاليستيمون أحمر
The shrubby bottlebrush, denser and more compact than the weeping tree form, covered in vivid red brushes in spring and again intermittently through summer. Bees work it constantly.

- How to care
- Full sun in free-draining soil, tolerating poor ground, heat, drought, and coastal salt. Water while establishing, then sparingly. Prune immediately after flowering, cutting just behind the spent brushes, to keep it dense and to set up the next flush. It tolerates hard renovation pruning if it becomes leggy. Avoid rich feeding, which produces soft growth and fewer flowers.
