Fruit Trees
English Walnut
Juglans regia
جوز
A large, generous shade tree that happens to produce nuts. Needs real space and real patience, and repays both. Common through the Lebanese mountains, where the winter chill suits it.

- How to care
- Full sun and deep, well-drained soil, with room to reach full size; this is not a small-garden tree. Water young trees deeply through summer until established. Prune only in late summer or autumn, never in spring, as walnuts bleed severely. Note that walnut roots release juglone, which suppresses many plants growing beneath, so plan the planting around it rather than fighting it.
Available in medium, large. Exact pot size and plant height are confirmed when we reply to your order.
