Avocado
Persea americana
أفوكادو
A handsome broad-leaved evergreen that has become genuinely productive along the Lebanese coast. Roots are shallow and easily damaged, so it wants a permanent, undisturbed position from the start.

- Varies by variety, autumn through spring
- How to care
- Full sun with shelter from wind, in soil that drains exceptionally freely; avocado is extremely intolerant of waterlogging and root rot is the usual cause of failure. Water frequently but never leave the roots sitting wet, and mulch generously while keeping mulch off the trunk. Avoid digging around the base. Feed through spring and summer. Protect from frost, particularly in the first three years.
Available in small, medium. Exact pot size and plant height are confirmed when we reply to your order.
