Deep coral pink flowers over a broad vase-shaped crown, and mottled bark that becomes a feature once the leaves fall. One of the most reliable and disease-resistant crape myrtles for hot summers.

How to care: Full sun, well-drained soil, and good airflow. Water while establishing, then sparingly, as it is genuinely drought tolerant. Prune in late winter to thin crossing branches and shorten the previous season's growth, since flowers come on new wood. Avoid heavy topping. Autumn colour is a bonus, strongest where nights turn cool.
