Flowering Trees
Crape Myrtle 'Natchez'
Lagerstroemia indica 'Natchez'
لاغرستروميا
The white-flowered Natchez is the largest and most elegant crape myrtle, flowering for weeks in high summer when almost nothing else does, then showing cinnamon-coloured peeling bark all winter.

- How to care
- Full sun is essential for heavy flowering, in well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Flowers form on new wood, so prune in late winter to encourage strong new growth, but resist the brutal topping often inflicted on these trees, which ruins the branch structure permanently. Remove basal suckers. Powdery mildew is possible in humid air, so allow good airflow.
