Soft lavender flowers over an exceptionally long season, on one of the tallest and fastest crape myrtles. A good street or driveway tree where you want summer colour at height.

How to care: Full sun and free-draining soil. Fast growing and drought tolerant once rooted. Prune in late winter, thinning rather than topping, and remove suckers from the base to maintain clean multi-stemmed trunks. Highly mildew resistant, which makes it a safer choice than older varieties in humid coastal air. Water deeply but infrequently in its first summers.
