A golden-foliaged deodar that lifts a dark planting scheme through the whole winter. New growth emerges bright yellow and softens to gold, strongest on the outer, sun-facing branches.

Flower colour: Non-showy
How to care: Full sun for the best colour, though some shelter from the harshest afternoon sun prevents scorch on young foliage in a hot summer. Free-draining soil and deep watering while establishing. Slower and somewhat smaller than the green deodar. Prune only to remove damage, and avoid cutting into old bare wood, which will not reshoot.
