The most graceful of the cedars, with soft drooping branch tips and a gently nodding leading shoot. Faster growing than the Lebanese cedar and more tolerant of summer heat, which makes it a practical large specimen for Lebanese gardens.

How to care: Full sun and well-drained soil. More heat and drought tolerant than most cedars once established, though it appreciates deep watering through its first summers. Allow generous space for the low sweeping branches, which are the best feature and should not be limbed up unnecessarily. Prune only for damage. The nodding leader is natural and needs no correction.
