How to care

Low to bright indirect light, tolerating genuinely dark corners better than almost anything. Water only when the compost has dried out completely, roughly every two to four weeks, and much less in winter; the rhizomes rot if kept moist and overwatering is the only real risk. Feed occasionally in summer. Wipe leaves to keep the waxy shine. Toxic if chewed by pets.
