How to care

Bright indirect light, never direct sun. Use a loose, chunky, free-draining mix rather than dense compost, since the roots need air. Keep lightly moist but never soggy, and raise humidity by grouping plants or standing the pot on a wet pebble tray. Feed with a diluted phosphorus-rich fertiliser fortnightly in the growing season. Remove spent flowers and any yellowing leaves at the base.
