Golden Pothos

Epipremnum aureum

The most forgiving trailing plant there is, with marbled gold and green heart-shaped leaves. Trails from a shelf, climbs a moss pole, or fills a hanging basket, and roots from a cutting in a glass of water.

How to care: Anything from moderate shade to bright indirect light, with variegation strongest in brighter positions. Water when the top few centimetres dry; it wilts visibly when thirsty and recovers quickly. Pinch out growing tips to keep it bushy rather than straggly. Trim long stems whenever needed and propagate the cuttings. Note that the sap is toxic to cats and dogs.
