How to care

Partial to deep shade in almost any soil, tolerating dry shade under established trees, which is one of the hardest positions to plant. Water while establishing, then rarely. Shear over in early spring to keep it dense and to remove tired growth. It spreads steadily, so keep it away from delicate neighbours or install an edge to contain it.
