Fragaria x ananassa

فراولة

The best return on a small space in the whole garden. Strawberries crop in their first season, thrive in raised beds, troughs, and balcony pots, and send out runners you can root to make new plants for free.

Fruiting and harvest

How to care
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil, keeping the crown level with the surface, since burying it causes rot and planting too high dries it out. Mulch with straw once fruit forms so the berries stay clean and off wet soil. Water regularly while fruiting but avoid soaking the leaves. After harvest, cut back old foliage and either peg down runners to make new plants or remove them to keep the parent cropping. Replace plants every three years as vigour drops.

Available in small, medium. Exact pot size and plant height are confirmed when we reply to your order.
